I have a Moen kitchen faucet. I believe the model number is 7545. It is a single handle faucet with a pull out spray device. The faucet has become loose (a common problem with Moen products from what I have read). I quickly discovered that I could not use a standard faucet wrench and purchased a tool to tighten the nut. The problem I have is that the water feed line is in the way and I don't want to do anything to ruin the faucet trying to remove the water feed line so I can get to the nut. It was a very expensive faucet. (I have to admit that I had a plumber install it - I am all thumbs).

Does anyone have any advice how I go about removing and reattaching the water feed line without damaging it? Photos or illustrations would be great.

Thanks

I have worked on thousands of Moen faucets and can attest that properly installed Moens do not "become loose". Someone fed you a bunch of hogwash. Their retainer systems are as good as any other faucet brand.

I don't like Moen, but I haven't ever had trouble with them coming loose.

Another vote for "never had a Moen come loose".

Most new faucets come with the installation tool. Hand tight and a 1/4 turn with some leverage and never an issue. You can get the installation tool wherever Moen products are sold.
