Just installed a Moen "Reyes" series model 87932BL. Everything's fine but someday I foresee myself needing to remove the handle to get to the cartridge, etc.
I'm presuming it's an Allen set screw like my other Moen used but in all the materials that are associated with this faucet - including the "Specifications" - there is no hint as to what Allen size to use !! 😡

The Moen that I'm replacing used a 7/64" Allen.
I tried that same size in this new one and it didn't seem to fit.

Does anyone know exactly what size Allen to use for this model ??

It is suppose to be a 7/64" allen. If you've rounded it out, many times a comparable sized Torx nutdriver will remove it.

Thanks Havasu. As I said, I tried the 7/64 and it didn't fit.
I called Moen CS and was told that it's 3/32".
That's also specified in the Parts List (attached), whihc I hadn't caught.
Unfortunately, I can't even get the cussin' 3/32" Allen to insert.

I also had a hell of a time loosening the set screw on my Moen handle, but it was because of my old eyes. I was trying to insert the Allen into the hole, in a wrong direction. I used my magnifying glass, and damn if I wasn't using the wrong hole. No snide comments from the peanut gallery please. ;)

I take it back, Havasu: it IS 7/64" !!

But there's a trick:
You have to swing the business end of the Allen out about 10° for it to engage the set screw !!

The Moen Parts List is WRONG !!!

Yes. Didn't really need to yet, but to oblige your question: yes.
And luckily Moen didn't put Loc-Tite on the threads !! (grin)
