I'm trying to install a new toilet on an existing flange, but after removing the old wax ring it looks like the flange is pretty mangled. I hope the photo is clear enough to show what I'm talking about. I figure I have 3 options:
-Try to flatten it out a little.
-Just install the toilet. It didn't leak before. Will the wax ring compress enough to seal against a surface that isn't perfectly flat?
-Admit defeat and call a plumber to replace the flange.
Advice? Insults?
