Looking for valve handle

The splines on the valve shaft look pretty shallow, so the apparent use of pliers may have ruined it to the point a handle will not work. But you could measure the diameter of the shaft and count the splines to see if a local hardware store or plumbing supply house would have something that might fit.
Here's a handle from Amazon that has twelve splines, but it doesn't tell what the shaft diameter is.

The stem was probably square at one time but pliers have rounded it. It also looks to be a gate valve.

Replace the entire valve.

Thank you very much. My local searching has been in vain. No handles for splines exist. I assume it takes a nut as well?
