Hi, I have a Little Gourmet under-sink water heater (it's like an Instahot). It is less than two years old and recently has become slow to heat the water. It gets there in the end. Typically I have the temperature turned down overnight, then turn it to maximum first thing in the morning. It used to bring the water to a boil in about 5 minutes, and now it takes 15 or more.

Any ideas what the problem could be or how to fix it? I've never had one of these before, so maybe they just don't last very long.

Thanks for any suggestions.

The unit takes about 15 min to heat to a max setting from a cold start. I would set the unit at a normal setting and let it be. The unit will only reheat the water when the water temp drops below 15 degrees of the set temp. My only recommendation would be unplugging the unit when going on vacation.
