leaking Waterstone bar faucet

I have a Waterstone bar faucet with cross handles that leaks. I called and had them send me new ceramic discs but I can't get the handles off the faucet. Does anyone have any experience with removing these handles. It appears that there are caps at the end of the handles but I cannot pry them off and am scarring the finish. Thanks for any help.
