Hi

I have a corner jacuzzi and it has a built in flexible shower, which you pull out to use.

There is a leak about two inches below where the shower head screws onto the hose.

To replace the hose I have to take the whole bath out, which I don't want to do -so I was wondering is there anyway of repairing a flexible shower hose?

Can I get a rubber hose (slightly smaller dia than the hose) about a foot long cover it in silicone and push it through the hose and wait for the silicone to set before I use the shower?

any suggestions advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance

Hi

thanks for the response - no there isn't. The wall where the bath is backing onto is next to the garden. If I do break the brick then I have to break the the tiles and I think it would be easier just to rip the bath out.

But I thought maybe if I get a small diameter rubber hose about a foot long and cover it in silicone and push it into the flexible hose. This after setting may help the water bypass the damaged section and I would have enough pressure to start using it again?

I really don't want to rip the bath out but its definitely the last resort.

Post some photos of the tub - stand back to get all of tub in photos

should have mentioned the last picture is basically identical to my shower hose. Cant I separate the two sections with the black rubber seal between them?

Do you have an acess for the motor/pump ?. Can you stand farther back and take another photo. Is this bath on a second floor ?

Yes, I am on the same thought pattern as IFIXH20. Your bath is a jetted whirlpool. This will have a pump and motor somewhere, and it is a code requirement, not to mention common sense, that there be access provided to the pump and motor. Oftentimes you can access the valve through that panel as well.

The whirlpool is on the ground floor. Yes it does have a pump and motor but believe it or not its right in the corner past the control knob on the green panel.
Unless the green panel (below the dolphin comes off). Which I do not think it will because its directly above the motor.

Unfortunately I cant stand further back. I just have to accept its a bad design. There is the large removable panel (sitting above the duck board)at the front of the bath but this does not help.

Do you have a basement ? If you have no access , removed a couple wall tiles behind the sprayer, spout, valve assembly to gain access for hose replacement. You may have to order the hose from jacuzzi if it's a jacuzzi brand tub valve or find a factory dealer
