Called a plumber to a house to do a job, got a bill WAY bigger than expected. Please tell me roughly what you think is a HIGH side estimate for doing this work:
Dishwasher install - straight forward
Gas Stove install - straight forward
Hot water heater hookup - pipes were cut at ceiling, had to cut out 12" x 12" drywall hole and hookup with new pipes.
New Main Shutoff Valve install / pipe repair - some pipes had been cut including main shutoff valve. Cut out 12" x 36" hole in drywall to access pipes.
Extend washing machine drain - was cut at floor, extended upwards (probably took an extra hour to find it b/c dumb contractor put vinyl flooring overtop)
Air test pipes - were not holding air, did a little extra troubleshooting seeing if shower cartridge was problem...
Did not do any drywall repair where he cut.
