My 60 gallon GSW Johnwood brand HTW that is 16 years old is getting replaced. Tried searching online for reviews and there all over the place with no clear leader or top pick. My current system heats my house via infloor radiant heat the tank is a Power Vent type. I live in Canada and plan on getting a contractor to do it for me. Is there a brand that is considered reliable for a few years with parts fairly easy to obtain. Not sure if the GSW Johnwood I have is still available, maybe the 16 years I got was a fluke based on the average age of a gas water heater. Thanks for any info, don't mind spending a little more to get a good tank.

GSW / John Wood is still readily available and are a quality tank. That being said, another 16 years cannot be guaranteed since its one of those things that varies depending on the quality of the water you store in it.

I install many GSW / John Wood tanks, the majority are electric though. But the odd time a part is needed, they are readily available and no issues with warranty replacements.
