Hello,

The pilot solenoid in the Gas Control Valve for our Bradford White Gas Water Heater had gone bad that the pilot light extinguishes as soon as the switch is released and switched to non-Pilot. The main burner solenoid and the control board seem fine.

Haven't been able to figure out where to find a replacement for the GCV.

It is a "Honeywell WV8860Q 1000" with "222 - 46402 - 01D" under it that came installed with the 40-gallon Bradford White Gas Water Heater Model No:U440T6FRN.

Have checked eBay to no avail.

a. Could you suggest where to find the replacement GCV?

b. Also curious as to what the difference is between the 8840 and the 8860 series of the Honeywell/etc. Gas Control Valves?

Submitted an inquiry email through https://www.bradfordwhite.com/contact-bradford-white/ and haven't heard back in over 2 weeks.

Thank you for any help + pointer + advice!

I went to the Bradford White website, searched your model number, opened the parts diagram/list, pasted the part number into web search engine, copied and pasted the link
