I've got a 16yo Kohler kitchen faucet model # 12185-CP-AE. This is a single handle model and the handle is stiff/sticking. When I try to make a small adjustment to the water flow by moving the handle up/down it wants to "jump" on you because the handle sticks. It won't move up/down smoothly. It moves side to side for hot/cold adjustment just fine. About 3 months ago I replaced the valve, part # K-GP1016515 and this fixed this same issue but now it's doing it again. I can't believe the first valve lasted 15yrs and the new valve just 3 months. So I'm thinking there's another issue causing the problem. Are there other fixes I need to try? Replace the valve again? At around $15-20 for a valve I'm wondering how much I stick into this faucet before just replacing the whole faucet. Thanks in advance.

Kohler will most likely send you a faucet, I made a repair on an older kohle faucet and the same part didn't work so they sent the customer a new faucet, just keep your slips
Customer service was pretty good
