Hi guys,

I bought my condo freshly reno'd and this sink and dishwasher have been an issue since day 1, really slow draining on dishwasher and sink. I've tried taking the p trap out and cleaning it but it was free and clear. Anyone have suggestions on a plumbing fix here like a deeper P trap? The last resort would be to replace the deep sink with something shallower I assume.

Thank you!

It’s roughed in too high as you know.

Before I did anything, I’d have the drain cleaned by a true professional drain cleaner with professional equipment.

If that didn’t help you could install a double wye at the wall and a Ptrap that has a built in studor vent out of one branch for the dishwasher and connect the ksink to the other 45 branch.

Cleanout looking straight at the double wye.

This will eliminate the dishwasher tee under the KSink basket and allow the typical trap seal rather than the deep one you have.

But like I said, I believe the drain needs cleaning. I’ve seen way deeper traps that that drain ok......

Awesome thank you, I'll try having someone professionally clean.

Cheers,

Wow that's different. But in the long run would probably be better.

They never go bad. Cleanout required in the vertical stack or under cabinet on kitchens.

If you have to cut them off to clean it one day then so be it, they make couplings. 🤣

Clean the Dishwasher hose and the AIR Gap that sits on the counter., likely it has a clog before it enters the drain., or in the air gap piece. You can clean it yourself.
