Mine is about a degree out-of-plumb. Has been for 25 years. Haven't noticed any problems.

I wasn't thinking operationally so much, but in case of an earthquake.

I would certainly install two earthquake straps. I went through this during the 1994 Northridge earthquake.

I would imagine if your trimming out a complex or something like that this may come in handy. If just doing one or two a day, pass
