I am considering replacing my old garbage disposer since it is leaking from the bottom.
I believe that I understand the steps needed to do so. Nevertheless, I still have one question that might be a stupid question for which I would appreciate an answer.
I understand that, generally, the first step in removing the old garbage disposer is to turn off the electrical power at the fuse box or circuit breaker. My potentially stupid question is: why not simply unplugging the power cord?
