I am currently installing a new Fleck 2900 valve on the fiberglass tank and I am having a problem with the valve to tank joint leaking. The valve and the o-ring are new as well as the tank. The top of the tank is smooth and in new condition. I have tightened the valve hand tight on the tank, about 4 turns and I am getting significant leaking. At four turns the valve is tight against the tank and the 0-ring is completely compressed, but I am getting leaking in a two inch section of the joint. Thinking that I had it too tight, I loosened it a 1/2 turn and then 1 turn, but those leaked even more.
