Thanks in advance for any help in naming the back plate part:
I am in the process of replacing the laundry faucet in my utility room.
One of the nipples snapped, and I replaced them both.
However, in order to do that I had to break 3 tiles in a row, horizontally.
I now have 2 choices.
Replace the tile. My house is circa 1967 California, and I am in no mood to search for the matching tiles.
Or:
Place a back plate behind the faucet, that will cover the missing tiles.
I know there is a plumbing term for this item, but I cannot for the life of me, remember what it is. The distance between the 2 stems is 7.5 inches
