Expansion joints in sewer / drainage pipesm

PVC sewer and drainage pipes crossing the expansion joint of a building require expansion joints or only sleeves will do. Thanks

Interesting question, I had never thought about it before.

I can say, however, that I have installed the plumbing in many large buildings with expansion joints, and have never been required to do anything more than sleeve it when it passes through a footer.
