Hello, first time posting here.
I bought this home as of last year and have a plumbing question...
When I moved in, I noticed water spilling over my gutter. The downspout drain line was clogged. I dug to find that the drain line was perforated corrugated pipe which had roots grown into and was plugged with rocks.
Since then, I have removed the corrugated line and am starting this new project now.
I have been digging the drainage ditch for this 4" PVC downspout line. I would like to tie my sump pump discharge into the line as shown by my drawing.
side note: I already have a sump pump basin from the previous homeowners. However, there was no pump or plumbing in place for the sump basin which I am adding now. (Westinghouse 1/2 HP sump pump).
Would this be kosher to tie the sump pump discharge and downspout drain line together as shown?
The drain line will go to a yard emitter down hill from the home.
