I would like to find away to run my softeners discharge to the drain line clean out cover (Photo Attached) It currently has a hose going to a floor drain which I would really like to get away from. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Some things to consider...are you on a septic system? Or a lift pump?

You can thread out the clean out cover, install a 3" male adapter with a 3x2" bushing, then use a 2" p-trap. Be sure to get your 1" air gap

No septic system or pump line goes to the sewer. That is kind of like what I had in mind. Not sure how to do it. That's only a 3.5" cap. Can fittings to do that be purchased? Thanks for your help

Thanks that should work

Sorry that is the only relevant photo. I'm in Missouri but should not be a code issue I will not be changing where the discharge goes now. I know it is a crazy design but that is my clean out to the sewer line. I'm thinking I could replace the cap with a test plug with a fill nozzle. Put in a back flow restrict or or check valve just in case and attach the discharge line to it. Would that work or bad idea.

Nothing goes into the pipe on the other side of the wall. All the upstairs drains go through it and down to the sewer.
