If anyone can tell me what I need to fix the problem of the fill valve spraying a small stream of water continuously, I would be so grateful. Forgive my ignorance, but shouldn't that black hose be connected? Just started a couple days ago. Thank you. IMG_20220809_101150715.jpg

But that shouldn’t cause your fill valve to continually run. Correct the hose and let’s see what happens.

Yes, I tried connecting the hose, but it wouldn't easily connect. I was afraid to force it in case I might break something!

Hold the white plastic piece to support it and push the black hose onto it.

Without sounding gross, you may try to spit on it or use dish soap to aid with slipping it on. Seems that tubing is already too long. Maybe try snipping off an inch or two, provided you still have enough room to slip it on.

Not too gross, lol. I will try it. Thank you.

Okay, tried it and even when it's connected, the spraying from the fill valve continues. Can I just replace the fill valve? I hate doing anything where I have to disconnect....cause it always seems to create a bigger problem. Thanks again.
