How would "calcification" cause a leak? It would just decrease the open area in the pipe so that the flow rate would go down. Copper pipes will leak, but the cause is probably one or more of: bad soldering at junctions, cracked fittings, pin holes, nails or screws driven into a pipe, or ice expansion. Which raises the question, who told you calcification was the problem, and what information did they provide to support that statement?Copper pipes installed across home. Yes. Or too much flux. Maybe I should have just used "bad junctions".Or someone failed to ream the inside of the copper properly?
