Connecting pipes to new shower/tub valve

Hi,
New here. I was fixing a leaky shower/tub valve and couldn't remove one of the seat. It rather strip than come out. Long story short. I had to buy a new 3 stem valve.

I have to solder a new valve to the existing pipes. I can't move the shower(top) pipe up or the cold(bottom) down to insert into the new valve to solder. I can solder one or the other. What can I do to hook this up?
