When I moved into my house 6 years ago I quickly found the drain for my kitchen sink had a hold rotted in it just before it went into the wall. To temporarily fix this problem I ran a new drain pipe through the floor and tide it into the drain in the basement. Forward more than 5 years i've finally gutted the kitchen. I regrettably didn't replace the drain when I had the wall open so now i'm stuck. I would like to use the original drains since they are connected to the vent stack where my not so temporary fix was unvented. There are these cone shaped build ups on the pipes that i'm assuming where there to hold them tight to the cabinets which I had to cut apart to Remo e. It looks like if I could remove the cone shape there would be enough pipe to connect new drains to but i'm not a plumber so I don't know what my options are.
