I would like to visit the northern part, I hear it's sane...and really pretty.

^ Doesn't realize So Cal is just as pretty. Where I'm standing the beach (<) is 45 minutes away, the mountains (>) are 45 minutes away, the desert with great off roading (^) is 45 minutes away, and the crazy pursuits, drive by shootings, and all the gangs (v) are 45 minutes away. Just don't turn (v) and you will be OK!

^ I agree Ca is like any other place there are gettos and there are normal places except I think we have more good places then bad. And better weather than just about anywhere else as well. Don't knock California till you try it.
