We have a double sink. Disposal on left, regular sink on right. Dishwasher to left of disposal. We generally do not use our dishwasher, only run it once in a while to clean it out. Water is not flowing out of the sink. It backs up on both sides. Disposal works. We took the trap off, cleaned it out. Snaked it as far as it goes. Snaked the small pipe up to the sink when the trap was off. Tired baking soda and vinegar, chemical cleaners. Plunging. This sink is the only problem in the house. It's been this way for days. Just ran the dishwasher. The water it drains, has no where to go so it went into the sink. It is sucking the water from the sink out.

Any suggestions on what we do next? Do we keep trying to use baking soda and vinegar to clean it out or is it a waste of time? We've also tried pouring boiling water down there too.

It sounds as though there is a clog in the drain line serving the kitchen sink. Sometimes clogs in the kitchen sink line can be very challenging to clear, as they are usually caused by grease. Grease tends to close up behind the head of the snake, so even if the snake pushes through the clog, it still doesn't clear. There are special cutter heads that help with this, and some techniques that can sometimes clear the clog. It is also possible that the snake you are using is not reaching the farthest part of the stoppage.

I would stop using any type of chemicals to clear the line. Even if they do open it up, they only open a small hole through the clog, the grease will continue to build up farther down line, making the clog worse in the end. Mostly, they don't clear the clog at all, and will damage metal piping, plus the cable on a drain cleaning machine, and possibly injure anyone trying to clean the line.
