I'm tying a line into existing underground no-hub. I've never seen anything like this no-hub. It's ID is 3" and OD is 4.5": very heavy stuff. A 4" transitional coupling fits, but this fitting has a chip on the end, and I can't get it to seal. Any ideas? Is it possible to put a 2" no-hub into 3" with a lead joint?
I don't want to dig it up, because I doubt I'll ever find this odd size pipe.

Picture would help.
Just maybe what you think you have is not really what you have.

Is this no hub you have an end of a fitting or the end of a pipe?

What kind of coupling are you using?

As stated in the original post, it is no-hub. It is also a chipped fitting, and I tried a 4" transitional no-hub coupling.

There is this black adhesive live called black swan... I always use alittle when tying into old stuff and or if there is a small crack where and has to be tightened..

Why do you say it is no hub? Looks like some sort of concrete composite.
Is it magnetic? are you sure that is cast iron?
