Hi, I'm new to this site and hope I'm where I need to be. I have a cast iron flange that sits in a concrete floor. The flange is 5" ID. The lip of the flange sits above and even with the concrete floor surface. about 3.5 " down is a 4" ID pipe inside of the 5" pipe. I'm not sure what was used to connect the connect the 2 pipes, lead or solder I'm thinking as its shiny when scratched with a screw driver. The toilet bowl mounting slots are broken on the flange lip and a standard wax ring doesn't fit properly in the 5" opening. I bought a PVC repair flange from Lowes that I thought would work but I have 2 issues with it. First, it has a rubber seal that threads onto the PVC. The piece is placed inside of the 4" ID pipe and then threaded down until its tight. The problem is that its not long enough to reach down 3.5 inches to the 4" pipe. The second issue is that after you tighten it down you're supposed to lag it to the floor. The concrete around is about 3/4 inch away from the outside of the pipe so unless I fill in the gap with concrete thats not going to work. I'm looking for suggestions on how to fix this the correct way. I've got pics
