Hello, I need to replace my laundry tub pump. Any pros/cons on pump brands/types for laundry tub pumps? Looking at a few different brands and curious if anyone has any preference.

Liberty is a superior brand and we normally use the style at the top of your choices.
Never had any experience with the other type.

I second the Liberty. I have never used or seen any of the other brands
Was leaning towards the Liberty pump but, manufacture lists "Evaluated for water use only". Maybe I should consider a transfer pump, something heavy duty. I use my laundry tub as a clean up station. I dump paint down the drain but do clean brushes, spackle knifes, etc. The internals on the liberty Model 406 might get damaged.

I'm not sure what # liberty pump it is but I know the 1 1/2" does not grind, the 2' does grind so that's the one I use
Just answered my own question. Below from Liberty Pumps website:

>> A grinder pump works like a household garbage disposal, but on a larger scale for sewage waste. It grinds up solids and other difficult waste material into a fine slurry and pumps it into the sewer system. <<

Don’t use a grinder if it’s pumping onto a septic tank.
