Hello all,

I'm a blog writer for Home Gnome and I'm doing a series of article on re-glazing bathtubs and had a few questions. If you're able to answer them, please leave your name and your company so I can properly credit you for your answer in the articles. I appreciate your time.

1. What is the most common reasons people need to re-glaze their bathtub?

2. What is the biggest concern for homeowners who opt for DIY tub re-glazing?

3. When should someone call in a professional for re-glazing? What factors should they consider.

4. Are there better options to re-glazing a tub?

For the common bathtub installed in a persons home there is no such thing as “ reglazing “.

Tub “ refinishing “ is noting more than epoxy paint and it doesn’t hold up under moderate use……

I’m not interested in giving my name or my company name. I’ve been a licensed plumber close to 4 decades.

Good luck to you

I am not a licensed plumber, but think a new tub would be preferable to the mess and future failure of the product. I've seen this in someone's house and it was not nice. I see it like putting nail polish on, then later putting more on when the first set is chipped and scratched. Looks good for a couple of days, then starts falling apart.
