I have the attached my basement . Any idea what the purpose of such an installation ?
There is a leak on the connection ( pvc-copper) what should be the best way to repair /stop the leak?

Your pictures are blurry and dark.

Take better ones, with more light, and some closer ones at both of the ends of the copper line.
