There is a cast iron cleanout "y" in the garage cemented into the floor. The house was built in 1942. The cast iron pipe going into the hub of the "y" is damaged and bent at a 20 degree angle. This pipe has to be replaced either with ABS or cast iron. I am trying to remove the damaged pipe without damaging the hub. If the hub is damaged, the cement floor will have to be jackhammered to remove and replace the "y". I have been able to remove the lead from 180 degrees around the circumference of the hub. Are there any tricks to remove this pipe without damaging the hub? I was thinking of using my Sawzall with a diamond blade to try and cut out the pipe in pieces.

Thank you

This link might help with how I cut out a section of cast iron pipe using a grinder with a metal cut-off blade I have use diamond blades to cut CI also.

If you can cut off the pipe close to the hub you may ten be able to drill out the remaining lead and pry it out. once the lead is out there is some oakum that is also packed into that joint I use a narrow bent screw driver to scrap it out. the pice of pipe should come out.
