Accident question

So I have a question that I need answered badly. I was using a 4 inch hole saw to prep for blowing cellulose insulation and my stud finder didn't see a sch 40 1 1/2" metal pipe behind the wall. As you may have guessed, I nicked it with the hole saw. So far as I could tell the nick was a mil deep and the pipes thickness is 3.5mil. Turns out its a gas line to my tankless water heater. Is this something I should be concerned about? There are no leaks and from what I've read the operating pressure of residential CNG is around 2 psi.

If I had nicked the pipe, as a professional with liability concerns, I would repair it by cutting and threading the pipe, which would "nick" it to a deeper depth than you have, But I would have covered my tail.

anyone with any since at all would not answer this question any way but to say,

remove and repair, just for the simple reason it is a gas line and the liability involved in telling you to do anything different.
