I've seen the term "ADA Complaint" come up a lot lately as it refers to sinks, faucets etc. I'm assuming its some kind of safety standard, can anybody elaborate? Thank you.
American Disability Act. In the plumbing business it has to do with handicap access to bathroom facilities. Here is some reading for you. http://www.ada.gov/
When it refers to a toilet, it generally means that the bowl/seat is higher than standard toilets so that it is easier to get on and off of for people with disabilities. Not sure on the sinks-- but I assume it has something to do with being easy to turn on and off.
ADA compliant fixtures are nice to have but often cost more than standard fixtures (at least from what I've seen).
