What started out as a $15 toilet repair job turned into a broken toilet tank and a $400+ one piece (one less piece to screw up) new high speed john. I heard about these wax less rings an of course ordered the wrong size (3") at once, #$%@&. The new toilet arrived... new 4" ring won't go down the pipe even with my 225 lbs on it.
My stupid question now is this: will it hurt anything to stick the 3" ring on with a new wax ring also? Seems like putting a funnel down the chute might not be a bad thing! Or will I just end up fishing the ring out of drain later on? Thanks for your help on this.
