Our water heater 9 years old (bradford white ) is leaking . On the bottom of the heater there is a white plastic pin/ screw which has popped out ( and still hanging there)and water leaks from the hole the screw was in.
Is this fixable? We are getting quotes for a similar heater for 1500 in Nj. Is this reasonable?
Thanks!

I have attached 2 pictures of the pin where it is leaking from.
I am not sure why it is posting it upside down, hope you understand. Thanks.

If it is just a drip it may just be condensation. If it is more substantial then the bottom may be letting go. The white outside is just a cover for the actual tank that holds and heats water.

Thanks, it is just a drip, about 3 cups a day.It is only leaking from where the white screw is jutting out in the picture. Will increasing the heat help?

Thanks again.

Yeah your water heater is leaking you should think about replacing it

3 cups a day may be a little more than condensation. That inner tank may be rusting out. I would say watch it and if the leak gets worse it may be time to replace.
