Good morning,
First post here. So this morning I found water in the basement floor next to the boiler, there is a leaking valve that reads out 12LB it looks like below link:
https://www.grainger.com/product/BE...e-Reducing-Valve-6LFA5?functionCode=P2IDP2PCP

it appears to be leaking from valve on the left side of picture ...

it is leaking from the threading part... is this because the pipe is broken or the water pressure too high? I shut down the boiler and empty water and close the main ... what is that level thing for? it goes up and down....

Can someone tell me what to do next?

Thank You!!!

If it is leaking from where it threads on it is not likely from too much pressure. Can you unthread it and clean it up dope it and put it back on?

I like rectorseal #5

It could be a crack in a thread but you won't know that unless you pull it off either.

That's the water feed for your boiler. It reduces your house side pressure to 12-15lbs for your boiler. That lever is so you can fast feed the boiler while filling, or manually add pressure if needed.

Your pressure relief valve will blow off at 30 lbs, so it's likely not a pressure issue causing leaks, more likely corrosion.
