Our pipes vibrate due to water hammer when the sprinklers turns on. I test the pressure at an outside water bib to be 100 psi base and 80 psi when the sprinklers turn on. Would installing a pressure regulator at the meter but past the irrigation t-fitting help to solve the water hammer? Would normalizing the pressure below 80 psi fix the issue?
Also, I installed a water hammer arrestor at the cold water line that vibrated the most in our home's crawl space without any luck fixing the issue.
Thanks.
