My water comes from the ground with a well pump. I want to add a water filter for the purpose of keeping the sediment from clogging my aerators in my faucets. What filter system should I buy?
WOW! Great! I didn't think there was there was going to be something so in-expensive to get for my needs. This looks great!https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/water-source-well-system-sediment-filter
This Water Source Well System Sediment Filter is used in water well applications to reduce sediment in-line for sprinkler systems and whole house systems. It also helps make pumps, well tanks, sprinkler heads, and all plumbing fixtures last longer. This filter includes a 100 mesh stainless steel screen.
- Ideal for pre-filtration where well pumps are used
- Filters out sand and other sediment from well or irrigation pump applications
- Protects plumbing fixtures, washing machines, pressure tanks, small and large sprinkler heads
- Sediment is visible through clear bowl, making it easy to know when to flush
- Replacement filter screens are not available in store
- Please contact manufacturer for replacement filter screens (sizes ranging from 30 mesh to 500 mesh)
- This does not replace the need for a whole home filtration system
- Fits 1 in. and 1-1/2 in. pipe
I only need to prevent the sediment from clogging things in my house. What micron rating should I go with? I'm seeing 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000.That would work just as good. You can buy filters for taste, odor and sediment.
After.Where's the best place to install these filters? Before the pressure tank or after?
