I know very little about plumbing. I want to put a utility sink in my utility closet. The supply lines won't be a problem but the drain will be.
I have a floor drain and I'm wondering if I can run a drain from the sink to the floor drain similiar to my hvac unit. I tested the drain by pouring 5 gallons of water down it and didn't have any backup. Is this doable?
Also, I recently moved into this house. In one of the closets I found a manual and some parts for a sump pump of sorts. I have searched everywhere and don't see any place a pump could be....
