I'm replacing my sink with a deeper single bowl center drain sink with a garbage disposal attached to it. After measuring I'm worried the garbage disposal will sit fairly close to the drain and make it a pain to pipe everything and also worried because the drain height from the disposal is just a tad higher than the drain out.

I noticed several inches below my drain there is a cleanout cover. I understand why this cleanout is handy to have, but I'm curious if I could use the lower cleanout drain as my new drain, and just throw a cover on the current drain? Basically just switching them.

Is there really any harm in doing this? It would help me by providing me more room to work and also more gravity to pull water out of the disposal.

This isn't my exact setup but an example of what my drain and cleanout look like.
