gentlemen i am brand new here and i need a question answered. i bought an oxygen regulator, hose and torch but need an acetylene regulator to complete my torch set. i have the mc tanks(acetylene and oxygen)i need to know if the uniweld RB patriot acetylene regulator can be used with my oxyacetylene set up. this regulator is alot cheaper than the dual gauge regulator. it only has one gauge that reads the amount of fuel in the tank, not pressure. i cant seem to upload the image. any help is appreciated.:Duniweld.jpg thank you hey wow! the image did show up.

thanks for speedy reply frodo.the psi is 15 ,if i get this adaptor will i be able to use it along with my oxygen regulator ?i was told that air acetylene regulator would not work because it uses atmospheric air instead of bottled oxygen. i wasnt sure if this regulator would work since a youtube video shows a guy using one of these single gauge regulators with acetylene only.i have compared the dual gauge uniweld acetylene regulator with this one and both are rated for up to 15 psi.the dual gauge regulator goes for 70 bucks and i can get this single gauged for $20.00 on amazon.

I have used them on big tanks, when silver soldering big copper. with no problems

as far as using it for a cutting torch/ oxy/acet rig, i have never seen it done, let me know how it works out

should be fine with a little p-nut rig like you have.

find a military surplus store, they have backpacks that those bottles fit in..nice for climbing up a ladder to the roof

thanks frodo and i dont plan on cutting either as i just use the little set to melt metals.if you use them on big copper tubing then it will do fine for my tasks.i dont plan i going any higher on what i am bidding on over at ebay since i can just buy one.

The one you show has a gauge for bottle pressure only to show you how much is left in the tank. If you are mixing acetylene and oxygen you really need a gauge to know what line pressure you have. Using that gauge is not a good idea.

I'm pretty sure but don't have a set here to confirm but the uniweld reg outlet hose connection is different that a oxy/Acet hose connections.

no sir, i used "it" not them

i did not use oxygen, just gas and my turbo torch,

thank you all for the replies. i will get the appropriate regulator. update:uniweld e-mailed me and wrote that the single gauge regulator in question was for air/gas only.this forum is awesome!
