Hello,
Recently had some leaking from Whole house humidifier. It leaked at the actual humidifier and seemed to leak at this drain. I turned off the humidifier for now until the it gets replaced.

Does this drain look setup correctly and could someone explain it?
This is a Heat pump
Drain pipe goes under the furnace into the slab
The black hose on top is connected to humidifier

I wasnt sure why the T coming off the furnace had one end covered with some sorta metal.
Also wasnt sure how water from that hose was actually getting into drain, almost seems like it would force back to furnace?

Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks

What's wrong with the AC drain? Has a trap and a vent.
I like the access caps and bottle brush.
But the 1st tee makes the way back into the AC pan impossible

I agree the humidifier drain should not be jammed into the AC drain vent

So if I took out the Tee next to furnace and replaced with a 90 it would be ok?

As far the humidifier hose, that drain that they are both using runs under the furnace into the slab, would it be ok to put a Y fitting lower or is that still frowned upon?

Thanks again for the help
