I have a leak in the water supply line to my house, it was leaking from the barb into the pipe. While unscrewing the plastic barb it snapped out and I had to cut it out On the pipe it says "PB 2110 3/4" But all the residential fittings for 3/4 pb I got at lowes are too small. Some one I talked to suggested it was a municipalities line which normally use copper sized pipes. He suggested using a 1 inch compression adapter with a stainless steel insert, but he hadn't used it on PD before only HDPE, so he wasn't sure it would work.
I've currently tried,
standard brass 3/4" barbs (too small)
1" plastic barbs (too big, about the same size of the pipe)
Shark bites for 3/4" PB (too small can't fit it on)
3/4" PB x Pex adapter (to small).
I've pretty much run out of ideas and I've got no more clean dishes or socks and Thanksgiving is next week, any ideas would be a big help.
