The shower panel I bought connects to 1/2 inch threads. I put two of these together to get connections where they need to be. My wife thought maybe too many turns would affect the water pressure, or might otherwise be a problem somehow. I think it should be ok? Haven't installed them yet....
I was taught to only use 90s where there wasn't an alternative. We would always try to use 45s instead of 90s. Elbows in general create a restriction of flow and turbulence. What you have in the picture will work but less would be better.
I suppose i could put 45s closer to the floor, and then two 90s at the top. just so that all the bends weren't so close to each other. Would that be worth my trouble at this point?
