Installing plumbing in my new construction home. How far can a toilet be from the vent stack? And can the toilet share the vanity drain venting ? I am using 3" toilet drain pipe and 2" vent runs. The main vent stack is 3". Thanks for your help here.

Thanks. Sorry for my tardy response. Been in the basement cutting and gluing. I used cell core schedule 40. 2" on all venting except the 3" main stack. I used 3" on all toilets and in the 5 bathrooms (3 bedroom baths, and 2 powder rooms) and connected all runs to a 4" schedule 40 that runs approx 65' the length of the entire house with 1 90 swings over to the sewer out. I know...overkill but just trying to do it above code...

Again this is my new construction home. There are 3 baths and 2 powder rooms. I am in process of doing my own plumbing. I have installed 2" vents at every fixture in the walls intending to connect in the attic. My home me will be a septic sewer system. My question considering that I have 2" vent network covering everything...is it required that I also plumb in a 3" main vent stack up and out the roof. If that is the case then of course I would route several of my 2" venting into that 3" stack. And if I do need that stack...is it required it is plumbed as close as possible to the line out to the septic. Even though I read and read the code examples I am still not sure. Thanks for any help you can provide. I am thinking I have been smelling too much blue glue!, Jim in Tennessee
