Welp, my Dad recently passed away and he was the fix-up guy. Now the responsibility falls on me, no more than hours that he has gone the toilet breaks down.

The thing flushes fine when I refill the water, but it doesn't refill on it's own. I tried lifting the filler float and it just makes a sound like it's refilling but no water comes out, only little drops to the sides.

Not sure what toilet it is, all I see is "Crane Pumbling"

What do you guys think the problem could be?

Chances are your fill valve is cluttered with sediment. You should go to a big box store, spend about $10 on a Fluidmaster 400a fill valve, and with the detailed instructions inside, you will succeed in replacing your toilet guts. Your dad will be smiling at you from above!

If you run into problems, we will be there for you.

Alright, sounds good. I'll do this and tell you how it turns out.

Wellllll

ok

I went down in the garage to see if my Dad had any of this stuff in storage. Couldn't find any but when I went back upstairs I heard the water running again, and sure enough the ****ing thing is working again.

No idea how that happened but I was jiggling it around to try and figure this **** out!

I appreciate your response anyways. I'll definitely buy some fluidmaster if it acts up again.

little chunks of calcium or sand. It is more prevalent when you pump your own well water, but still can occur with city water.
