Good Morning!

I am hoping that someone can tell me what supplies and tools I need to fix this problem.

The lady that takes care of my daughters best friend called me this morning and said she had a leak under her kitchen sink. She can't really afford a plumber to come out and fix it, so she called me.

The drain is leaking from the elbow. This looks to be some type of chromed plastic and it is old. The piping above the the elbow is metal of some type and to the left where the garbage disposal drains.

Is there a way to replace this piece of drain with pvc?

most likely the leak is coming from up top and running down, run the water and locate the leak 1st...no matter what, the hard part is removing the old parts without causing another leak, once you do that, just replace with whatever fittings your removed with new, yes is can be pvc

What your looking for is a center outlet waste for a DBL compartment kitchen sink. There made in PVC plastic or chrome plated brass which is what you have.

Got it fixed, she is good to go now. Mods, you can close if you deem it necessary.

Could you please advise what you did to correct the issue? Also, we love picture....hint, hint!
