How does one solder a pipe to a dielectric fitting on a water heater? It looks as though the orange plastic part in the image would melt under the heat of the torch.

And how do I make the attached image an in-line image? I could do it a couple weeks ago but tonight I can't see any way to make it in-line.

I don’t see any image, but I have some ad blockers running, which occasionally will block links.

Break the union and the plastic piece and the rubber gasket can come off...

So I sweated the union to the pipe. No sweat! Thanks for the help and also for the video.
