Space around boiler plate gasket

Hello. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if this is or will become a problem. If so, any advice to fix this situation would be GREAT appreciated!

I've attached pictures of the parts of the front gasket and plate of my Peerless boiler as well as the "gaps" . I noticed that there is a little bit of spacing around the sides. The boiler is functioning fine though.

No issues at all. In fact, my friend just changed the gasket and plate the other day because the gasket wore away and became brittle after about 4 years.

The space your worried about is the jacket around the boiler which is completely cosmetic.

Just need it to survive 6 more years till I retire/sell my house.
