Was replacing the Cartridge on my shower ended up damaging the 3 3/8 pipes from the valve to the cylinder that the cartridge inserts into so I cut the old pipes off bored out the holes put new 3/8 pipe in and soldered it all together. It has been sitting for a day still no leaks or weeps.

So my question is has anyone else attempted this and will it hold over time? I am worries it will ended up leaking.

If it's not leaking now I'd say the joints are OK. However I would be concerned that solder has gotten into the valve body. When we run into that situation we replace the entire valve body. With the amount of time spent repairing the broken one you could have replaced it with a new Delta balance pressure valve. When we come across an old stile Delta faucet such as you have we try to remove the nut holding the ball and seats wit very little pressure. If it don't come right off we cut the nut and peal it off.
